I bet a million £ Hulk is not going to Spurs.
I think Arsenal should sign Debuchy from Lille as a right wing defender. He was the only player in the French team who delivered during the Euro.

The RVP saga continues...

Manchester City, Manchester United and Juventus have all submitted formal bids to Arsenal for the North London club’s captain, Robin van Persie. At this stage, none of the three offers has been accepted.

Although no precise figures have been released, it is believed that the offers fell some way short of Arsenal’s valuation for the 28-year-old Holland international, with United’s bid understood to have been dismissed out of hand.

Arsenal would not countenance parting company with their prize asset for anything less than a premium fee, in the region of £20 million, and United’s offer was believed to be less than £15 million.

City are prepared to pay Van Persie – the leading scorer in the Premier League last season and the reigning Players’ and Football Writers’ Player of the Year – around £250,000 a week to become the fifth player to leave the Emirates for the Etihad in recent years.

However, the striker is understandably tempted, too, by the offer of £175,000 a week on the table at Old Trafford. Should Sir Alex Ferguson’s side reach a deal over the fee, Van Persie would also benefit from a lucrative image rights deal.

Juventus’s offer, though, is the most lucrative, promising the Dutchman around £190,000 a week after tax, a sum that would make him the highest-paid player in Italy. The Serie A champions remain outsiders, though, with the club’s sporting director, Giuseppe Marotta, describing the idea of signing van Persie as “a dream”.

With all three formal offers some way short of Arsenal’s price, there remains the possibility that Van Persie – who is not expected to be included in Wenger’s squad for the club’s tour of the Far East when it is announced today – will be forced to see out the remaining year of his contract in north London.

Those close to the Dutchman insist that, if such a circumstance were to arise, he would go about fulfilling his duties in a professional manner, but it is unclear whether losing him on a free transfer next summer – even after a further year’s service - would be a palatable solution to Arsenal.

RVP is not coming along on Arsenal's Asia tour. A transfer is close now and I can't for the life of me understand why one of the three interested teams doesn't just pay up the £20 million? It's still a bargain for a EPL's best striker.
