If u cant beat a team without using stupid ultra defensive, football unworhty tacticts like that, u don't deserve to be in the finals. simple as that. They played for time from the FIRST MINUTE. Honor? Chelsea has definitely none. I hope they get the disrespect they deserve from the Fans at Munich.

Oh well, I dont agree. In any sport, you try to counter the other person/team as effectively as you can.

Lets say I'm a pro MMA fighter and my specialty is Jiu Jitsu, and my opponent is a Muay Thai specialist. I'm not going to try and stand with him, I'm going to try and do what's best for me to win.

Call Chelsea what you like, they definately made Barca look bland, and clueless....and against 10 men, with no central defense.

If I was a Barca fan I'd be mad at Pep for not being a good enough manager to figure out Chelsea's defensive tactics.

to be honest i just realized that TODAY at the gym while talking with friends.. i was so focused i had no idea what was going on overall but lived every second! i actually lost weight during the match but yes, when you put it that way, DAMN i am as proud as mad at my team for being able to pull that off yet are 5th in the league haha

Turboholic, I think you're letting your personal feelings affect your outlook on the game as a whole. Strebo has a good point in what he said.

You can't say a team doesn't deserve to be in the final if they actually beat the opponent fair and straight, according to the rules of the game. The only thing you could complain about are the rules of football, but they are as they are and won't change just because you're a Barca fan.

When Arsenal (my top team) were holding, but then lost to Barca (2nd) because of the red card issued to Van Persie because he shot the ball towards the goal 1 second after the whistle was blown, because he couldn't hear the whistle over the roar of the Nou Crowd (AKA worst call of the last 10 years), Barca fans were pretty proud of the eventual victory. If Messi would have made that penalty, we would have been pretty proud. Etc.

You win how you win. Sometimes it goes our way, and sometimes (like yesterday) it goes the gay way.

 

Barcas tactics are to keep the possession of the ball because if you have the possession; 1. The other team can't score if they don't have the ball and 2. The probability of your own team scoring is rising at which the time you keep the ball (since you logically would have easier to create opportunities to score with the ball in your possession).

Now, Chelseas tactics was: Play a low defence, let Barca have the possession and play on swift attacks.

We all know that if Chelsea went all-out-attack on Barca, Barca would've had a lot more space to pass around and find openings. So, Chelsea just shut that door and look what happened - Barcas tactics wasn't the winning one (for once) and now you're all "it's unsportsmanlike" "they don't deserve it". Where is the lack of sportsmanship? Defending your goal? Scoring goals against Barcelona? Defending a score in a 2-match series?

I'm a Man Utd-fan an we got our ass handed to us by Basel so I could care less (well..if I did, I wouldn't be writing this idiotic response) but I think it's time to get the sand out of your va-jay-jay, be glad you reached semi-finals and realize that Barcelona got their ass handed to them, either you like it or not.
