first off, there are a handful of teams that would put up a good game. wisky, ou, okie lite, stanford, oregon, usc.
secondly, rematches suck, whether or not the first game was good. i would still rather see okie lite or stanford play LSU over bama. rematches prove nothing. i wouldn't want to see an lsu-oregon rematch either. both teams had their chance and lost on the field.
this year, LSU is clearly number one, but it will always be subjective who the top two teams are. how many years has the bcs actually got it right?
again, this is so subjective, so i wouldn't expect all the SEC ball swingers to agree.

It was a great defensive battle not a great game...

It was not a great defensive battle. The offense on both sides was AWFUL. The defenses didn't have to do much because the offenses destroyed themselves. How the hell anyone can say it was a good defensive game baffles me. Why because it was a low score? Low score does not mean great defense it can also mean shit game.

also, i'm very fair and objective as a college football fan. could bama still be the second best team? maybe. however, when people say it's so clear cut, they are looking through rose colored glasses.

the whole great defensive game is getting laughable. LSU on scored 6 points in regulation, but GA southern or whoever bama play last night put up 21?
again, no arguing that both teams have great defenses, but both offenses are average and the play calling in that game was ultra conservative.

that is deceiving. they benefit from turnovers and good field position provided by the defense. they are 71st in the nation in total offense. both qb's won't make the nfl and both running backs are nothing to write home about. randle has potential, but is pedestrian at the moment. their best offensive player might be their tight end.
you're telling me that you're objective, but c'mon.

Whatever you say buddy.... You do realize when you play on a short field your yardage goes down? Keep trying to convince yourself that the Tigers and most of the SEC isn't head and shoulders above every other school in the BCS right now.
