Barcelona's ball control is definitely tops. They easily won the possession battle yesterday, but Arsenal actually had more shots (and goals), more corners and more fouls. Basically a much more efficient game.

True, if Messi wouldn't have blown a couple of easy shots - like that chipper, it would have made a huge difference, but Arsenal had several great chances that could easily have put them up. Many in the first 10 minutes even - like Van Persie's volley like 2 feet from Valdez. It's pointless to say "if they wouldn't have missed this" or "if that...". As all of the Man U and Chelsea fans constantly remind me, it's about the result.

I know Bo "hated" it, but deep down she knows it was a great display of skill and tenacity. And don't worry, Barca will have the Nou game to prove what they are made of.

I don't think Barca will win by 2 goals, if they even win. Wenger will pull out all the stops with the opportunity to take down the great Barcelona at home and move to the quarters.

This is what champions are made of. Nothing is supposed to be easy. If Barcelona ,and Messi for that matter, are supposed to be the best and greatest they are going to have to work for it.

Lets see what this Barca team can do when their backs are against the wall, they have a chance to prove themselves, we'll all be watching.

I could be wrong in my quick math I'm doing in my head, but if Barca wins 1-0, then they'll win 3-2 aggregate because of the away goal. Right?

2-1(2 away)
0-1
-------
2-3

If Arsenal scores, then they'll have to win by 2, and if Arse scores more than one, it goes up exponentially. A tie is a loss.

You should have watched the first half, and skip the second half!

Hats off to the Gunners. They played very well and beat Barca at its own game. Good on them, they deserved the win.
true, Arsenal deserved to win it
good character and confidence and HARD WORK

love the handball analogy, never thought of it that way.
true, barca themselves would tell you we deprive the opponent from the ball and wear them down, then use the gaps

You can either blame the extreme agonizing bore of that game on Inter's defensive strategy, OR you can realize that Barca's offense really isn't that beautiful and spectacular to watch. It's just passing around for 20 minutes and then trying finding a gap. Same thing all the time...

and Bonita that explains it, you did not watch the match and so have no idea what went on and how thing lead to another.. it's like someone only watching the 2nd leg of a CL knock-out stage and summing it up in one sentence.
not the way things go down in the CL, this isn't La Liga

do not count 1 goal as 2
but yes, if Barcelona win 1-0 at the Camp Nou
they go through because they have an away goal (i.e. they scored away)

and if it ends 1-1
then the agg will be 3-2 for Arsenal

basically, any draw is in Arsenal's favour
so, if Arsenal score in the 1st half of the 2nd leg, IT WILL BE SOOOOOO ON because that cancels out the Away goal that Barca scored

but do not count 1 goal away as 2 goals, sometimes the maths will not work
do it this way: in case the aggregate is a draw, figure out who has scored more goals away, and that is your winner

AWESOME system
