My points:

1. Where was Cesc?
2. Arsenal did relatively well in the first half to limit the damage.
3. Where was Cesc?
4. Rosicky should have been taken out for Song the second the own goal scored.
5. Where was Cesc?
6. I think the ref is one of the top 3 in the world but he really screwed this game, for the neutral fans and Arsenal.
7. Bendtnar should go live in a hole to avoid the death threats from Arsenal fans.
8. See 1, 3, 5.

I don't care who wins, the worst thing that can happen in football is always when a ref interferes the way it happened here. It's a shame and completely f*cks up the game. So sad to see.

If RVP hadn't been sent off, maybe he would have had the chance that Bendtner (sucker) blew. And we all know he would have done so much better. What a shame...
Yes I am a Barca fan so you may not feel that I looking at this objectively, but…
As a player you cannot come off the field aggressive and the minute you are back on do what RVP did, he was pushing his luck… and yes I believe he knew he was called offside, it is his job to know... so if he did not then he sucks at his job…
That said, the ref has the right to give him a verbal warning or show him the 2nd yellow… in this kind of game I would have held on to the yellow a little longer. But if I felt the players are testing me then cards will fly

True but possession does not win games as Inter proved when they faced Barca last year…
But yes… Barca ruled

Do you realise that the ref blew the whistle exactely 1 second before RVP shot the ball?
Had he blown the whistle when the flag was lifted it would have been a different thing. In this case however I don't see how anyone can defend the ref's decision.

Also about the penalty. Didn't the ref first signal something else and then changed his mind and pointed at the penalty spot after like 6 seconds?

1. the ref changed the game, it is not up for discussion
2. the ref fvcked arsenal over, that is a FACT. true, barcelona were controlling the ball - but when did they NOT do that in the past 5yrs? - however it was obvious that arsenal came out in the 2nd half with a different approach to the game
3. wenger was late in his substitutions, he should have made the arshavin for rosicky decision IMMEDIATELY after the 2nd goal, waiting for the 3rd goal makes him just as guilty as the ref imho
4. fabregas was busy hugging and kissing his spanish teammates before the match, which is cool and all, but not for a round of 16 CL tie with the obvious history and drama. CONCENTRATION is key, and i wish to only point to the mistake which lead to the 1st goal to prove my point
5. bendtner? seriously?
6. barca won, they deserved to win on statistics but this is not PS3
7. rvp deserved the 1st yellow, abidal should've been sent off for laying his hands on another player

the best thing we can take away from this game is messi's 1st goal
that was pure class, and a pleasure to watch
otherwise, this international football refereeing stuff is really REALLY turning out to be a shame for the sportsmanship but great for TV

all I want to add is this;
The players manage the ref not the other way round...

1. Too busy getting autographs from his Spain teammates.
2. That was all they could do, and the only hope to come out alive.
3. Day dreaming of those 99,000 people cheering for him.
4. Song wasn't available. We had no "muscle" at our disposal.
5. I think he took a snack break to get some bread and Jamon Serrano.
6. He definitely wanted to let them know he was in charge - just an unfair way to do it (see my analogies in previous post).
7. Bendtner is an enigma. He'll go from a hat trick to missing the easiest shot in the world. When he comes on, it's either savior or goat. No in between.
8. Cesc had nobody to pass to, and nobody could pass to him. Barca's control is unmatched.

Fans on BOTH sides can call out the refs and that goes for BOTH matches.

Messi should have had a PK in the first leg... no questions asked. But didn't get it and the game went on. Barca loses.

Messi also should have had a PK in the first half of the second leg, he didn't get it, game went on.

In the end, Arsenal fans can blame it on the refs all they want. But I do believe Barca, based on aggression and ball possession, deserved the win.

GO BARCA!!!!

^ That's all true. It's pointless to complain. It all goes around and comes around. Every team that's lost because of a bad call has won 2 because of bad calls. It's just some are "badder" than others.
