Barca vs. Arsenal

Great post Gray... That Busquets goal was an absolute gift.

Great move ref, you obviously got what you wanted. What a BS game, total screw over by the ref.
I don't care who wins, the worst thing that can happen in football is always when a ref interferes the way it happened here. It's a shame and completely f*cks up the game. So sad to see.
If RVP hadn't been sent off, maybe he would have had the chance that Bendtner (sucker) blew. And we all know he would have done so much better. What a shame...

My Game Points:
No question Barca dominated and controlled the game, as they do and should have at home. The way they played, in the end there was no choice but victory. Arsenal was just trying to weather the hurricane, and they almost did it, but it's just not possible with 10 men at Nou Camp.
That VanP call was a real (bad) game changer. Nobody on either side can argue it was a call that should have been made in a game of this importance with over 30 minutes to play. The red in '06 was legitimate. This one was not. Sure, on paper it's a real call, but it's like firing someone for being 15 seconds late or writing a parking ticket as the driver is opening his door to move his car.
I'm not saying Arsenal would have won, but it's clear that opened the floodgates and basically took away any possibility. It was Robin's fault for being a baby and getting the first yellow. You don't put yourself in that game position with a stupid emotional push. In the end, Arsenal's own-goal was a gift, but the red card was a Warren Buffet endowment!
Overall, the game went as I expected up until the red. It was beyond disappointing for the game to play out that way, a real let down to what I hoped would be a game decided 100% by my 2 favorite teams, not the officials.
But I guess at least now I can clearly cheer for Barca to take the cup without conflict of my interest - somebody had to win this game - I can't have my cake and eat it too.
And Arsenal needs to let this go immediately and MURDER Man U on Saturday... Take out all the anger on the Devils!
Lastly, Arsenal needs to dump Koscielny and get a real stopper. I'll be holding him solely responsible if there is no trophy this year. First Carling, now this penalty... Vermaelen's absence and by extension Kosc's blunders have been the negative difference in too many important contests. He's like the Miami Heat of soccer!
There's simply no question Barcelona is the top team in the world right now. The Barca haters are simply hating - there's no true argument against them. There's also no question that Arsenal are light-years ahead of where they were last year, and should be proud of what they have accomplished so far. On to the EPL title!
Sorry so long post. I had a lot tied up in this one!

Any other day, I'd be cheering my head off with you! But this one I can just muster a golf clap
But I'm back on board with you for the rest of the tourney!

Like I said a couple of pages back. I think Arsenal, if matched up with any of the other teams, could have made its way to the final.
Also, I really hope Puyol comes back soon. He adds defensive toughness and wherewithal that no other defender in the league can. Barca is definitely a different team when he's out there.
