MMAjunkie.com has confirmed that UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva and Yushin Okami have each verbally agreed to meet in August at "UFC: Rio," the UFC's first event in Brazil since 1998.
UFC president Dana White first revealed the booking to USA Today, and MMAjunkie.com subsequently confirmed that both parties are committed to the fight, though bout agreements have not yet been distributed."

It's hilarious to me that when all the media and the fans talk about stuff -- when you guys talk about Strikeforce and Affliction and IFL and all these other guys that were out there. Since the acquisition of Strikeforce, many have stated that the UFC holds a monopoly over the sport of Mixed Martial Arts and have criticized the current landscape due to lack of competition present for the UFC. While the UFC seemingly became the NBA of MMA overnight, White's mission is not yet complete as he enters new frontiers and hopes to topple other American main stream sports.
MMA is the fastest growing sport in the world, but will that growth continue long enough to take over America's three favorite past times in basketball, baseball and football?
