Rooney leaving Man U?

Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has halted talks over a new contract as he considers leaving the Old Trafford outfit, with Real Madrid a possible destination.

That'll be the death of his career. He will have nowhere near the influence at any other club outside of England. I don't get where these guys think they'll do better than under Sir Alex... Ronaldo's decision makes more sense since he was a Real fan as a boy, but Rooney? Methinks not.

Looks like there's some friction with Ferguson, and history tells us that when you fall out with Ferguson there's only usually one outcome.....

That's very true. Unfortunately, Fergie's an obstinate old goat or else we'd have kept Stam, Ruud, and Becks.

Yeah, definitely not a good move for him to go to RM. His style of play won't fit in very well there. It really would be the death of his career.

As a Barcelona fan I'm not sure how I feel about this. I think he'd be more suited on the New York Red Bulls.
