If by "average" you mean bouncing on Uncle Arsene's knee, showing promise then collapsing nearly out of the top 4 at the end, and making Steve's life miserable, then yes, I agree.

I am in complete agreement. If Wenger makes any half decent moves this year, I give the Gunners 2-3 years before they put any consistent pressure on the top 3. Problem is, their main cog could be in Barthalona in 2 years, so then again...

FWIW, 10 points back isn't "putting pressure". I can't imagine either Chelsea or Man U being worried about Arsenal for more than 10 minutes.

And by that logic, we've got no pressure on us not making the Champions league, which is a good start. And by good start, I mean every season is almost starting from scratch for us, because of the heavy poaching. Our players need to be put on some endangered/protected list. We're basically the Cleveland Cavaliers, but every year.
