What do you guys think about Germany vs Australia?
The weather play to Australia’s advantage but the Germans look very strong

 

I tried messing around with the equalizer settings on my tv, turn down the 3k-12k Hz frequencies and it becomes somewhat bearable. Still, I think the FIFA should really put an end to this. I know it's local culture and all that but come on even Messi complained that he can't communicate with his teammates and I'm pretty sure some of the lousy games we've seen so far are due to those stupid horns. I'm all for stadium noise, music etc but this has nothing to do with anything musical, it's just a never ending drone at a ridiculous volume (supposedly these things go up to 130 dB!).

Yesterday was definitely all about the goal keepers, +1 on the Nigerian dude. USA's Howard was great too. Green continued the fine British tradition of monumentally crap goalies. Remember Seaman? Robinson?

#1 - I almost want to put my receiver on mute every damn game.

#2 - They should ban those things from every game past the first round. Even Messi was complaining the players couldn't hear each other on the pitch. No communication makes for even worse games. I really think that noise is contributing to the lackluster first couple of days, and it's annoying as hell.

#3 - Every time I hear those stupid horns, I think the Star Wars theme is going to start - funny at first, but not for 90 straight minutes.
