I felt like Lakers were watching the game rather than playing the first half. What do you guys think?

Yup... they seem to start the game with no emotion. Looks like the whole squad just woke up from a freakin coma.

It really baffles my mind, how they can beat a team by 40 freakin points... 40 points!!! Then come out the next game, and only score 3 points in 10 minutes. There really is no explanation.

We'll see which Laker team shows up on Thursday against Denver. I keep reminding myself that Boston's run to the Championship went 7,7,6 & 6 games respectively.

This Laker team is extremely frustrating for me to watch. Their weaknesses are extremely weak, especially the lack of quickness/defense at the PG position and the lack of muscle inside. The great Lakers teams of the past had no glaring weaknesses. Watching those games when the Rockets went completely "unconscious" and hit every single shot they threw up, got every rebound, stopped every Laker rally was indescribably frustrating. With all due respect to Aaron Brooks, Luis Scola, Chuck Hayes, Shane Battier, and Carl Landrey, those guys looked like and NBA All Star team at times and they are really nothing but a bunch of guys with incredible heart and determination. Are the Lakers that bad? did Houston catch lightening in a bottle?

This Denver series is going to be interesting. The Lakers match up very well with Denver who have not doubt been watching this Laker team intermittently thinking to themselves, "these guys are way over-rated" then "holy shit, they are unstoppable when they apply themselves.

Thursday can't get here soon enough.

It looks like Yao will be out all of next season, if not longer. This is sad news for Houston Rockets fans as well as the rest of the NBA. I am familiar with Yao's foot injuries as well as the treatment for them, and when I saw him go down in this series I was hoping it was not a re-injury of his navicular bone in his left foot which has already been repaired once. Turns out, that was the case. Sparing you all the details, navicular bone fractures can be career ending for atheletes in any sport that involves running and jumping.

My heart goes out to Yao and I wish him a speedy recovery that will allow his to play basketball again.

Dang, that sucks. The Rockets are gonna have to seriously consider retooling most of the roster for the long-term. Wonder if they'll be able to spin McGrady's expiring contract into something worthwhile, or maybe they'll just let it expire and drop off their books?

Agreed. Unfortunately following the path of Bill Walton and Sam Bowie....
