I love the feedback. I'll point out one more season and Warner's stats (short of rushing) will almost match Young's. Also, Young took over a the most-feared offensive juugernaut at the time he replaced Montana. I love the Cardinals WR's (they help me and Minid win a fantasy league three seasons ago) but Jerry Rice + John Taylor trumps the duo in Arizona (Rice and Minid would be at least a match).

QB ratings over 90%+ MVP awards + 1 ring as a starter. How do you keep him out?

The other element, did Young or anyone take a team that had not sniffed of at least a divisional championship game in 30+ years (can you say Jim Hart?) the way Warner has (it's not the system or the WR's of Lienhart would still be at the helm)?

Last thought, it's my contention that if John Elway had played in SF with the Walsh-designed offense, he would have set all records (including Marinos) and won more rings than Montana/Young combined.

I must point out that I'm not a big fan of any these QB's though I respect their accomplishments.

Granted, Young had a great team. But so did Warner in St. Louis. Warner had Isaac Bruce, Torry Holt and one Marshall Faulk - who at the time was rushing for 1,000 yards and recieving for 1,000 yards. That's a tough lineup to match. Can you imagine the effectiveness of the PAF with Fault behind you. YOWZA! No wonder it was the "greatest show on turf."

I'd say Mr. Warner has secured his place in Canton.

I agree with the OP. Warner was great today, and will only strengthen his case with a good showing in the Super Bowl.

Yep I think today was a step in the right direction for Warner getting into Canton. If they win the Superbowl then he's a lock.
