Kurt Warner- Hall of Famer?

He needs another Super Bowl win and another great season, then you can start giving him serious consideration for HOF induction. If you look at his career stats, he "only" has 182 TDs and less than 30K yards passing. Those aren't HOF numbers.
If you look at his career arc, he's had 3 great seasons, 2 good ones, and 5 mediocre to bad (counting his 1998 season where he was a backup that got into 1 game). That's not HOF material as of this juncture.
And I say the above as someone who respects what he's done as a QB, and has owned him several times in various fantasy FB leagues.......

He can't hold onto the football. He just fumbles far too often to be considered one of the "great" QBs in league history. He has a great story and 2 MVPs under his belt though. Right now, I would say it is an even bet he will get in.
Remember, Football isn't like baseball - where longevity really matters. But think about this - if Kurt Warner is a HOFer isn't Terrell Davis one too??

TD is a tough one. He had 1 good rookie season followed by 3 outstanding (including 1 all-time great) seasons. Then injuries caused him to eventually retire. I think the fact that Denver has had running success post-TD with a bunch of no-names erodes support for TD's inclusion in the HOF.
KW doesn't have the sustained streak of really good to brilliant seasons to get into the HOF if he never played another down after this Sunday.

Career arc is a good one. Check out Namath and Steve Young. One can argue that Warner is more deserving.

Young: Yards 33,124/TD 232/Comp. % 64.3/Rating 96.8
Warner: Yards 28,591/TD 182/Comp. % 65.4/Rating 93.8
Those numbers look pretty close (except for the TDs where Young clearly beats Warner). Both have 2 MVP Awards and each won a Superbowl as a starter and each won the MVP in that Superbowl. Steve Young has 3 Superbowl rings total - 2 as a backup to Joe Montana.
But Young rushed for 4,239 yards and 43 TDs in his career - that's not bad for an above average running back! As oppsed to Warner's mere 276 yeards and 3 TDs. And Warner couldn't take care of the football fumbling 91 times in his career as opposed to Young's 63 times. Also, Steve Young went to 7 Pro Bowls while Warner has gone to only 3.
Don't forget that both players had years stolen from them due to circumstances - Young made the bad USFL deal and was mired as a backup for many years and Warner worked in a supermarket.
I am not saying that Warner is not a HOFer. But I don't think he is in the same class as Steve Young.

With Warner, there's really only 4 seasons where you could argue he was a gamechanger on the level of Young ('99, '01, '07 & '08). In between those years, he threw 27 TDs & 30 INTs for the ENTIRE span of '02 thru '06. Obviously, that period is nothing close to HOF caliber.
As for the "it's the Cardinals" argument, considering AZ has had the best receiving corps in the NFL the past couple of years (Fitz/Boldin/Bryant Johnson last year, and Fitz/Boldin/Steve Breaston this year), this is less a case of Warner carrying the team and more a case of Warner producing what one would expect with those type of weapons around him.
