People outside of Oregon say Mike Belotti is a dirty recruiter. Not sure if that's true or not but I guess USC can only take so much talent out of their own backyard.

Define dirty. We do what's necessary to convince players to come play for us.

USC should have played Texas in the Rose Bowl. This game is meaningless to their national title claim, everyone knows the Big-10 sucks. If they had blown out Texas on the other hand that would be a different story.

I know the Pac-10 will go 5-0 but there still haven't been any REAL match ups between the good Pac-10 and Big-12/SEC schools beside Ok. State which IMO doesn't count (they are a good team but not top 3 in the Big-12).

Don't get me wrong, USC is an amazing team and MAY be the best in the country. But until they play and beat FL/Texas/Oklahoma/TT it is too hard to compare them.

Exactly. We need the money, facilities, contracts, etc. to make people interested. Our program simply can't compete with an SC or Texas, and it's not as flashy. We're a very solid team, but not that caliber. So, we entice in other ways.

It seems to be working pretty well so far, we've had a consistent supply of great RB's, some great defensive players (we're going to miss Patrick Chung and Nick Reed), and a few good QB's. I'm very happy with what we did considering this years QB situation. We're firmly the second best team in the PAC 10.

^I agree that USC and Texas would have been a real Rose Bowl game, Penn St sucks does not deserve to be a top 15 team IMO

Oregon's win over Oklahoma State was both convincing and legitimate. How can you discredit that?

I agree with the first part of your post. Who wants to see Ohio State get eaten by Texas anyway?
