Manchester City Talking To David Villa's Agent?

According to a report in the British tabloid The Sun, Manchester City's wealthy owners are keen to bring Valencia striker David Villa to Eastlands and will offer €69 million to secure his services.

Apparently, the player's agent, Jose Luis Tamargo, has already been to Eastlands to iron-out a contract for his client with the Blues offering €173,000-a-week for five years.

Valencia are currently third in La Liga and while it is unlikely that they will want to sell one of their top players during a title push, their poor financial status may force them to do so.

El Guaje (The Kid) has been one of the most lethal forwards in Spanish football in recent years and he has already scored 12 goals from just 14 games this season.

While the former Real Zaragoza man has been well known to many fans of European football for years, he came to the attention of a wider audience this summer when he helped guide Spain to the Euro 2008 title, finishing as the tournament's top scorer with four goals.

That won't happen as long as an English Manager is running the show! With all that money comes talent, and I'm not talking about the players!
