Agüero Heading For Barcelona Next Season?
Reports in the Argentine press suggest today that Sergio Agüero will play for Barcelona next season and that Joan Laporta is already carrying out negotiations...
Lionel Messi and Sergio Agüero might have battled against each other in La Liga these past few seasons but they could be playing for the same side next year, according to reports in the Argentine press.
Both Golpasion and El Depornauta report that the Atlético Madrid player has made up his mind and negotiations are underway between the two clubs now.
The two publications claim that Barcelona president, Joan Laporta, is currently in discussions and hopes to to bring the player to Catalonia for June next year.
El Depornauta says that Barça will pay €55 million for Agüero, who rejected a massive offer to leave the Madrid side for Chelsea this summer.
Agüero joined Atlético Madrid from Independiente back in 2006 and has since become their most valuable player, growing in stature and promise to lead the line with Diego Forlán.
He has previously stated that he would never join Real Madrid but now, with Barcelona calling and Atlético looking less than impressive domestically, he might be tempted by a move.

would be a good acquisition for barca especially as messi and/or eto'o may leave the club.
you know whats interesting...aguero is married to maradona's daughter and i believe they are expecting a son...can you imagine how much talent is in that kids genome!

If he goes to Barca, he will become the new Tevez, Tevez was much better before joinning United, and i beleive the same will happen with Aguero if he goes to Barca.. Stay where you are or just go to another club where you can prove yourself.. I'm not saying that he has to go to a club with no names and have an easy way in. but if he goes to barca, look at the names over there; Theirry Henry, Messi, Bojan, & E'eto.. it won't be impossible for him to earn a place in the first team, but.. just go somewhere else..

Not necessarily true.. since tevez plays out of position with Man U and barely plays the target position close to the box whenever their in the opponents half... with ronaldo, rooney, and giggs taking up those roles leaving a poacher in the box with the rest covering the width. So again I doubt aguero will have the same difficulties when it comes to playing with barca where they'll slot him in the left flank making up the rest of the rotating frontline where they move opposite to each other! But honestly i'd prefer zarate of lazio who has a better build and can strike with both feet. Oh and I forgot to mention he is much cheaper than il Kun.
