Chuck, how's your access of the 15 pre 2011 release (all buffalo trace bourbon). 20 is great stuff, honestly I think better than the 23.

I recently reminded myself of just how amazingly good Lagavulin 16 yo is. I compared it to Laphroaig 10 and Caol Isla 12 which are both among my favourites but Lagavulin won by a mile

Ludas you should give Ardbeg Uigeadail a try, for the $65-$85 range of Islay whisky it's hard to beat.

You can find Pappy Van Winkle on eBay for those who are looking.

Yea I know Doctor, I just haven't gotten to it yet. But I have been aware of Uigeadail for a long time and long for my first try. I've only heard amazing things about it.

About bourbon I haven't tried much but unlike many other whiskey lovers I liked what I tried so far. Nothing fancy yet though.

I enjoy lagavulin and laphroaig. A cottage friend of mine, her father has a great collection and poured me a glass of 30year old for Christmas. Good, but not great and certainly not worth the price (IMHO).

Johnny Walker is the Coor's light of Scotch, regardless of colour in my mind.
