I recently picked up a bottle of Ardbeg 10y, anCnoc 12y and Laphoraig 10y.

I drank Macallan 12 last friday. I'm not that much into Whisky that's been in Sherry barrels but this was quite well balanced. Drank a Bowmore Darkest some years ago and it wasn't really my thing due to the Sherry character. I prefer Burbon casks.

Only whisky I have at home now is Glenmorangie and it's a typical Speyside, fruity and easy to drink. Usually prefer more smokey Islay whiskys.

The best value on Islay whisky you can get imo is Caol Isla 12 or 18 years old. Especially the 18 is amaaaazing!

Picked this up for this weekends big games (Geaux Tigers)... Very excited to try the experimental collection as 17 year Whiskey sounds amazing!

Also if you've not tried Pappy Van Winkle 20 Year Bourbon you are missing out on what's been considered the finest whiskey in the world.
