Single Malt Scotch: what are you drinking these days?

Yup. Shared it with a couple buddies. One of them drank it with a splash of water and the other drank it neat as well. It was actually the first time I've had a single malt. I'm only slowly getting into different types of whiskeys so it was a good way to see the difference between Jack Daniels and a good single malt.

I still consider myself a single malt virgin (have drank way too much JW), but the Lag 16yr is my favorite atm. It's like having a glass of scotch and a cigar at the same time!
I hear the Lag 21yr is phenomenal but I have yet to try it.

Been lurking for a bit, but decided to post in this thread to begin. Have a bottle of Macallan 18 Fine Oak sitting on my desk, disappearing slowly.
And - I know this IS my first post - but, whatever. When drinking single malts, please do add a splash of water or a cube of ice - whatever catches your fancy. This opens up the bouquet of the whisky, allowing you to inhale and taste better. Neat from the bottle sounds glamorous, but doesn't give you the full taste.
