While trying to make a permanent power connection for my MSD to the starter, I found out my starter was rusted-through and it broke in half. I am now waiting on the arrival of my high torque starter.

Meanwhile, I replaced the fuel filter and accumulator which was a pain. Very cramped space. This should solve some starting and running issues!

The Fuel Accumulator helps with hot start problems. I would invest in making the car E.F.I the Bosch K Jet tronic is really bad for our kind of weather. E F I will make it far more reliable and should get more power as well.

Exactly. I was having warm-start issues and instead of checking the warm-up regulator I decided to replace the accumulator since I'm changing all the fuel items (fuel lines soon as well). If this doesn't help then I'll need to take the regulator apart and check it.

I've looked at EFI, carbs and CIS and I know the pros/cons of all, however my aim now is to keep the car as original as possible.

Hurt my finger in a household accident so can't do any major jobs, but today I went from a single shock to a dual shock system for my decklid. The single shock couldn't hold up the whaletail, so it's much safer now.

Installed a new starter which was a pain in the ass. Life is very difficult if you don't have a good lift.

Old vs new

Wired the MSD properly by passing a direct battery connection from the new starter to the engine bay. Installed a 20amp fuse connection.

The car started great.. so now I can start cutting and crimping the MSD wire harness to make the engine look prettier.
