Porsche scraps plan for entry-level model

"We would do no good to the brand if we were to lose traditional Porsche customers"
So I guess that means traditional Porsche customers are soccer moms and BMW drivers?
I'm sorry, but if they're really worried about diluting the brand, they'd cancel the Pajun and Macan, not this new entry level car.

Nah it was just re-confirmed in another interview, it's one of those on again off again things! lol

Needless to say, I am infinitely disappointed in this announcement. I was personally hoping for either the 360 horsepower 5 Cylinder turbo from the TTRS or at least the 256 horsepower 2.0T from the Golf R.
Come on Porsche, just build it!

The Boxster was suppose to be a affordable Porsche. Why Porsche deviated and inflated the price is beyond me??? Honestly, a $72k Boxster that will depreciate faster than last years PC is absurd. Porsche doesn't do affordable sports cars well or at least they will never stay affordable and high quality at the same time.
