If you had Tom Nelson build a custom car for you, how long do you think it would take? There is the time to spec it, then you have to wait until a spot opens up for the build then the thing needs to be built. What the hell do you expect? Deposit and take deliver in 10 days? From everything I see posted, he is personally going to build each one. It would not surprise me if from order to completion it is a 9-18 month process.

Also going this route will surely also mean that copies will start showing up.
Take a look at the videos, it appears that none of it is kit work, and everything is hand crafted for each car. We will see what happens with the production of these cars, but I don't think he'll give up his work to mass marketing that easily (as it is the complete opposite of why he started building these cars to begin with).

What are you talking about that none of it is kit work? Do you think he creates a bumper for each one from scratch? Sideskirts wings? LOL... He has molds in place.. they are in kit form, and he can make changes here and there depending on your preference.
