But i'd prefer something more along the lines of what Harris built.

 

you have a point, certainly wouldn't feel bad beating on something similar to CH's build.

At what point does it loose its soul? It's a 911 Hotrod to me.

I'd much prefer a Tuthill Porsche, maintains the character and faults of the period.

 

it has some hot rod elements to it, some gilding if you will. but thats what many in the market for one of these want.

tuthills are made for drivers, period. its function over form at its finest. they are also half the price of a singer, if all you're after is the authentic experience turned up to 11 then a tuthill is hard to beat. but some want the fripperies as well and this car is aimed to fill that niche, i appreciate it for what it is and i admire the quality that goes into it.

its not the last word in purity but its a bloody nice compromise.
