There's definitely alot more to this car than its performance numbers and handling ability why can't we leave it at that.. no need to come in and bash the car because it can't beat a 997. If I owned this car I wouldn't ever be driving it 10/10ths through the canyons

I can not think of another car that i would rather have right now.

The GT3RS4.0 was high on that list until Singer made this one. I loved their last two but am in love with this one.

Obviously this car was not built for all out speed (although I am sure the performance is fantastic)so to say what will or won't be faster or better on a twisty road is pointless. When i first heard the price a few years back i thought they were insane. After seeing how much goes into this car and the work being done, I no longer feel that way. I would love to own one.

I'm not bashing it I'm just pointing out it's short comings that all... I think it's totaly cool and I'd do the same thing to a 911 if I wanted to hang onto the past....

Vintage is cool for some but why the hell is everyone hatin on me because I stated a fact ?

Nothin but personal attacks for statin facts....pull your panties out of your cracks guys..

@the ronin -

First, the fact that you OWNED a 550 rather than OWN one is shameful. Second, did you read the data sheet I posted? The amount of work, refining, and LOVE that goes into the Singer justifies the price. Third and finally, no one is buying a Singer for the performance. I'd venture most Singer owners will have a current Turbo/GT and/or Ferraris, etc. This car is a celebration of what makes the 911 great, but makes it more livable. It's a great concept.

I VERY nearly bought that car. Missed it by a few days, it was awesome to drive and one day I will build my own. Ultimate street car.

As I said it's a beautiful car and it's something I'd do if I ever kept a car long enough.... I don't collect things I can't afford not to drive. The 550 was too rich for my blood at the time, since it was one of my first forays into the big leagues, a place I knew I couldn't feel comfortable owning and not driving....But at least I can say I "owned" one and that is still pretty cool..
I'd rather drive than pose..

As for someone [Ag Surfer} wanting to show me how to drive send me a PM and we'll meet at the bottom of a nice canyon and please show me how to drive while stayin in your own lane.....Anytime the phones are open...
Don't worry I'll bring my Iridum sat phone to call for help...

Back on topic....

I dig the dash layout, I wonder if those gauges are available ?

Personally, I have every bit of confidence that for $300k I could purchase a whole stable of cars that can outperform a Singer 911 spec'ed that way I would want it....But that isn't the point now is it

How about starting an "ultimate canyon running car" thread and take your opinions there. It really seems like you are only trying to stir sh!t up for the fun of it.

edit...was that "Sat phone" comment to show what a baller you are?
