that car is tight, so just doing 25mph to get it from one photo shot to another, i put the lid onthe seat. but 1000% when that car or any car gets going, its cage, helmet, man up for bear.
figured it was parked but had to ask. covering the lid makes it easier to sign autographs after the race

It was originally sold for about 1,5 million Deutsch Mark, which is about 750.000 €. Now the prices range closer to 1,4 million €.
The power output were between 544-600hp depending on the model but, correct me if I'm wrong, I think these older 993 GT1's had 600hp whereas the later models were detuned.

Not bad owning one out of two cars ever produced Congrats to the owner!
Havent dyno'd it, but the thing is a total beast. not scarey like a cup car as the power comes on a bit more gradually, but once at full tempo, she's hauling. kind of reminds me of an f50. i always thought the f40 had the pop, the low end torque, the ability to come around a hairpin and just let loose back to speed..where as the f50 at full speed was more stable and sucked up everything.

i think ferrari actually made f50GT owners sign a document they would never race GT1s because, well, the GT1 were kicking tail left and right.

the funny thing is, you mount up, you put on the suit, the helmet, you turn on the engine, you start going down thet rack, you get into that groove...every once and a hwile i had to blip myself to remember its a gt1 and there aint no replacement body panels (where there are a few<GG>) so go easy.

im not sure if anyone got any video. i was a bit too busy driving in the moment to deal with the memorializing.

but yeah, what a beast. just a car. many other fantastic ones out there. but if you're a porsche fanatic like me, and love the GT series, the gt1s, the gt2s, the gt3EVOs , modern day CGTs and GT3s and GT3RSs, then this is one of the grand poppas of all time.

ha! i found that post as the first listing when i quickly did a google for "safety girl".
i had to think of where i came up with that word. not exactly a word i ever really used before that post. then i realized...it was from Julia Roberts in Pretty Women. now, doesnt that make me seem more manly now??
and if that dont make me manly, then just peak at the photos herein.
