Couple guys asked for some photos of the GT1 interior and the 962...so i was at the warehouse cleaning the boxster racer today and figured i'd snap a few...fyi, i blow with the camera, but it shoudl suffice.

 

I thought DW had one in his collection in Florida.

 

they only made 2 of the 993 GT1 road cars. then i think 24 gt1 993 race cars.
then when they went to the 996 version, i believe it was 24 road cars, 24ish race cars.
and then of course the evolution GT1 version later, i think 24 there-ish as well.
but in terms of th eoriginal machines, the 2 x gt1 993s were used to show executives at porsche that they could built it. then after those 2 road cars were built and show to be highly capable, they built the first 2 race cars taht went on to kick butt at leman, and then the rest of the race cars followed suit.

I'm absolutely blown away by the 993 GT1. Good lord, that's just beautiful!

visit and see yes, 100%. take a drive, sure as well. im not shy with the cars. but i am shy about pics..we'd have to talk about.

anyway, here is a really cool link to a video of the Ruby Tuesday # 23 Porsche powered Crawfords. Crawfords , to me, always the best looking Dp's but these days, they just arent competitive. We put a brand new engine in it, and its run once or twice over the last 6 months. Im building up the balls and nerves to take that thing out. and waiting for the weather as well. soon though. its frankly probably one of the safest boxes you can get in with its crush zones and what not.

I have that poster signed by the winning driver (McNish)..he signed at Road Atlanta, 10 minutes before the GT1 flipped on the back straight in 1998.

AND...I have a set of Euro GT3 (CGT-style) seats in my GT3 that once belonged to spg
