That is gorgeous and this is definitely my favorite, right behind the GT3 thread

Does anybody know of any companies building '911 hotrods' or recreations in the U.S.? I've found a number of these in the U.K., but don't want to go through the hassle or expense of importing. The 996TT is gone and I'd love to have a late '60s or early '70s 911 to use on the weekends. I need to get an idea as to how much such a project would cost me.

Singer are way more expensive compared to what is being done in the UK ( as you know ).

If I was you JC, id get Tuthill Porsche to "consult", but get the car built in the states at a shop.

Singer only triple I believe.

Someone posted a link to a car Jeremy Clarkson or someone had built. It wasn't Tuthill I don't believe.

It was Chris Harris, and it was Tuthill

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I'm trying to see if such a project is doable within my current budget. Obviously, a Singer is WAY out of my price range. I'm 27, but I think this could be a ten year project car. This is something I've been thinking about for a couple of years. In the last few months I've really been wanting a classic weekend car.

I may pick up an old 911 and use it on the weekends. That way I could either slowly turn it in to my ideal 911 hot rod or just sit on it until I can afford a proper conversion. I've seen a number of 3.2 and 3.4 911s used for these conversions, though it would be cool to start with something from the period. Something like Chris Harris' 911 is what I eventually have in mind and I know that was an expensive project.
