Thinking about building a 944 track car . . .

They are not awful cars and are a relatively inexpensive way to get into racing. They will also not cost 3x to maintain lol.

every 944 i no constantly has issues, im just saying that imo a 911 is a vastly better choice for the track, and a sc>turbo imo, and esp when the run g prepped, an rsa or 964 turbo will walk them np, i no they have a very strong following but 99% of 944 owners convert to 911s soon after driving them

What issues are you talking about?
Have you ever driven one?
Moving to a 911 doesn't mean a 944 is a bad car--the 911 is a higher price point, so it's a logical step. That's why they made lower priced cars like the 944 in the first place.

All track cars have issues
Nobody is debating that the 911 isn't a better track car, they are. I sold my 944s2 race car and bought a 911 too, but in order to get to a base lower level RSA, (Or any decent 911 that is set up for the track) you will be paying twice as much $ than a well sorted 944 track car.
