well, to me this is just helping VW achieve it's path of world domination so I'm sort of happy

 

If VW buys Porsche, then the future of Porsche becomes pretty much secure, no?

Sounds like a good idea to me, actually... It's business security for both parties.

 

Maybe even a fun, 2.0T powered RWD 924? Is that blasphemy? I would totally dig something like that ... and tune the snot out of it, of course!!

 

well Porsche might be taking away the Bluesport concept from VW to make it one of their own so there you go

 

What a change of events from like 6 months ago when we all thought this would be the other way around and Porsche taking over everything...

 

Even the German chancelorette said that Porsche should just get over it and merge with VW. In the end it is just a pissing contest between the two owner families Piech and Porsche. Piech who is also the chairman of VW is simply driven to have produced the most important car manufacturer in Europe if not in the world when he is done. Not having a real luxury car in the line up he forced the Phaeton and we know how that went.

Either way I do not believe it will hurt Porsche but as ttm0tion said a total 180 from a dominating family business that was about to swallow the largest car manfucaturer in Germany to this.
