I think he'll try to win it, the mp car has been dominating the last 4 races in qualy and race pace.

 

Not sure if Whitmarsh wants that coveted #1 going to Mercedes though. It would be sweet karma though, as Jenson pulled that move on Brawn.

 

Being a massive Hamilton fan I really didn't want him to move and hamper his chances. Especially if you look at the current standings and where Mercedes has been in recent times. We'll get to see exactly how quick Hamilton is in someone else back yard (Rosbergs). Hamilton will be a deffo number 1 at Mercedes, so the car is gonna be designed around him at the wheel.

I sure as hell hope that Ross Brawn can make the car and team into a real dominant force of the future, for Hamiltons sake. He must be damn sure they can to leave McLaren.

As far as Mclaren goes.. other reasons for him to leave. They keep all the trophies he wins, not just the constructor ones (Mercedes let drivers keep theirs). He goes after personal sponsership deals (McLaren don't allow that). So he has more freedom as to how much he wants to take on.. it's common knowledge that Hamilton hated too much sponsor stuff and wanted more freedom.

While McLaren are a GREAT team and have been my favourite for many years.. they haven't won a constructors title in like 12 years or something? And the only drivers championship they won was Lewis'...

Summary? 2013 and beyond is gonna be EXCITING!

As everyone mentioned previously, I think it's a mistake with Hamilton making a move to Mercedes. Just look at Mercedes this season, they have not featured (besides China when Rosberg won) but other than that they have not done well this season. Schumie has been frustrated with the car, imagine what Hamilton will do

On a side note I see Massa is staying at Ferrari for 2013.
