^ Absolutely agreed and I should have mentioned it before for sure. As IIVVX said, if you're just looking for some recreational fun, definitely just consider doing some arrive and drives at different tracks. Costs are fixed and you are responsible for absolutely nothing except showing up and driving. From what I'm hearing you say, I actually think that may be the way to go..

check your local tracks, you can most likely find a vendor for an "arrive and drive" package, might be the ticket if you don't plan on being competitive and are just looking for recreational karting.
Yes I can attest to bringing 3 different motors all with different porting along with different rear pipes and carburetors. Not to mention axles and everything else. Getting there a week early to test. Its not any cheaper!

If The JC , thinks 220 is tough, try being 6'8" and 275!!! I am racing Karts this weekend at Bondourant in Phoenix as part of a management retreat for my company. We are racing Briggs & Stratton ProKarts which are 10hp and supposedly go 60 mph. I fully plan on using my wingspan to my advantage and grab rollbars, steering wheels or whatever it takes to win
