THIS could be what takes down RBR.

Perhaps they should have. While it was brilliant that Brawn found that loophole, it made for a dull championship that lacked suspense.

The only good that will come from this is a rise or possibly no loss in viewership numbers due to a closer championship race. This is Formula1, the pinnacle of all 4 wheel tarmac racing; there should be no level playing field determined by rules. If RBR found a loophole in the rules, leave them be and at the same time do not restrict/discourage willing teams from exploiting the same loophole. Don't run back to the drawing board and rewrite the rules at the end of the season - let the teams develop and refine the technology for a few years at least.
There's more where that came from but for now, /rant.
Time to play catch up, Mclaren.

So, we are penalizing innovation? This is the pinnacle of motorsports with the best of the best. They talk about saving cost yet they allowed teams like lotus to work overtime to try to get this technology just to say oops sorry for wasting your money and time but its now illegal?? It doesn't make any sense. Its all a tad hypocritical. I am sure some Ferrari conspiracy theorist are turning in their grave with this news.

F1 was the best when you could have multiple engines, three drivers, and one hour open qualifying, no rules regarding gear ratios. Does anyone remember Jordan-Honda winning races in the late 90s with Heinz Hareld Frentzen and Williams winning Championships. A privateer team doesn't stand a chance in today's F1.
