After undergoing extensive medical checks this morning, Robert Kubica has been diagnosed with multiple fractures to his right arm, leg and hand. He is currently undergoing surgery at the Santa Corona Hospital in Pietra Ligure.
Daniel Morelli, Robert's manager, will be available for the press in front of the hospital emergency entrance at 16h30 CET.

He was at the Canadian GP in 2007 - it was a nasty accident but he still only had relatively minor injuries considering the severity of the accident. I think only a broken foot or something along those lines.

Unfortunately, the BMW Sauber he was in at the time was much safer than the rally car he crashed in the last few hours.

I really hope he is able to carry on with life as usual and drive at the top level again.
Did he make the rookie mistake of gripping the steering wheel as the car went off road?
