To be quite honest I didn't know what time frame the Korea track had. But, I see your point with the hurdles. It just seems like a reasonable amount of time for completion, but what do I know about building tracks? Zilch.

As you well know Randy, the U.S. has crazy administrative hurdles to overcome when starting a project like this. Also, the project can't afford to run labor 24-hours a day like some other countries often do.

The fact that they only got "provisional" approval to break ground just 2-weeks ago indicates that they are nowhere near ready to start full-fledged construction.

It will be very tight.

Where there's a will there's a way.......Let's hope it proves to be the case in this matter.

I hope they pull it off so the U.S. will have some sort of presence in F1. I feel that we've been looked down upon even more since the whole USF1 deal

I might attend this if they are able to pull it off. Does anybody know the average price for the tickets?

^^ Currently F1 only sells tickets as a three-day package.

In other words, you can no longer buy just a ticket for the race - you must buy tickets for all of the events (practices and qualifying).

My tickets to the Canadian Grand Prix in 2010 ran me about $420 a person.

That is for Silver Grandstand tickets.

This year it ran me $445 a person for similar seats. Friday is $60, Saturday is $110 and Sunday is $260.

I would expect Austin to be pretty similar.
