Alonso not impressed by Button's pace

Alonso not impressed by Button's pace - Formula 1 news - GPUpdate.net

Fernando Alonso completed 137 laps at Jerez on Saturday and set a sixth fastest time on the clocks. The Spaniard isn't worried about the times shown at the Jerez time sheets though. Jenson Button completed the fastest lap on the final day of testing at Jerez but according to Alonso the McLaren driver was only showing his muscles, while Alonso claims to have focussed mainly on reliability rather than the F10's pace.

"I think that someone showed his muscles on Saturday, while we didn't," Alonso said in Jerez. "We'll see in Barcelona - when we'll show up with the latest updates - where we are compared to the others. We can say that we're on the right way.

"Over these two days on the dry I could drive many miles and I'm satisfied by the car's performance and reliability. The F10 is growing very well and there's nothing that should worry us. We worked on the long run today and the signs we got are really positive. Naturally we have to improve, because we're not at the max, but we're getting there. Where we have to improve? There's always something to do, but telling you would mean I'd be like a goalie telling you about his weak point so all the strikers would hit there!"

On Thursday, 25 February, Alonso will be back on track for Ferrari at Circuit de Catalunya for Formula One's final week of testing ahead of the 2010 F1 world championship. Alonso will be testing for two days, while his team-mate, Felipe Massa, will be behind the wheel of the F10 on Saturday and Sunday.

JC not surprised by Alonso's arrogance

I'm still backing him for the title though

Meh, and asshole making fun of an AssHat.

the real test starts in Bahrain and ends in AbuDhabi, pre-season testing is just the teams making sure their cars wont fall apart in the first couple of races.

We learned an awful lot from pre-season testing last year though and what we saw stayed true pretty much to the end of the season.

I pay more attention to it now than ever because of that.

Dana, we don't need to learn anything, we all know who's wining.
