Post Alonso fastest; Di Grassi spins

Fernando Alonso set the early pace at the Jerez F1 test on Friday, as times tumbled as drivers finally got some dry running.

The early wet weather had made for a frustrating morning, with Virgin Racing's Lucas Di Grassi making a notable trip into the gravel trap. Jenson Button has set good times for Mclaren in all weather conditions, and is currently second fastest.

Keep checking back throughout the day for our latest F1 updates.

Of COURSE Button can drive ... the question is: can he drive as well as Hamilton, Alonso, and Schui.

None of that REALLY matters, though. Newey FTW.
