Official British Grand Prix Pre-Race, Practice and Qualifying Banter Thread

Here it is folks! The Official Pre-Race, Practice and Qualifying Banter Thread!

As last week, I will create 2 Race Banter Threads - one for those watching live and one for those watching the tape delayed FOX Network broadcast.

Last week - for the race in Turkey - we could not run down a reliable Internet stream for the race.

I will work on that this week. I think the main problem was that we did not get into the rooms quickly enough.
They limit the number of users that can watch at one time to about 1,000. So we need to be in there no less than 30 minutes before the start.

Here is the schedule for the British GP. All times are PST.

Fri 19 June 2009
Friday Practice 1 02:00 am - 03:30 am
Friday Practice 2 06:00 am - 07:30 am

Sat 20 June 2009
Saturday Practice 02:00 am - 03:00 am
Qualifying 05:00 am

Sun 21 June 2009
Race 05:00 am

Lots to discuss!

1. Will F1 survive at all?

2. Has Red Bull really conceded defeat?

3. Will BMW continue its resurgence?

4. Will Ferrari get back on the podium?

5. Is Rubens mechanical failure and DNF at Turkey a real concern for Brawn?

Let the banter begin!

This will be a great race to watch…
Who will the crowd be supporting?

That is a good question!

A Brit winning the race would be a fitting end to the last race at Silverstone.

What are Button's odds???

Should be another effortless win for Button.

I think this will be the ultimate test of Hamilton's maturity. He definitely will not feel the love he is accustomed to as a large majority of crowd will be supporting the winning Brit (Button). Between the lack of love and a car that isn't worth driving, I wonder where his head will be by race end.

I am going to go out on a limb here and say the Rubens Barrichello is going to win this race. He is awesome at the track and is motivated for a comeback after his DNF last week.

My money's on Rubens.

Money on Button. Home track in a winning car.

And wasn't his last F1 victory ( prior to Brawn ) at Silverstone?
