Alex, the engine in my 997TT started to ping yesterday.
Will moving to a higher octane gas stop that? I recently stopped putting race gas in the car. It has a very aggressive timing setup in the ECU. But it has gone a year with no issues.

longer answer: I read your thread and it sounds like you just pushed it a bit too hard on the wrong fuel, given your mods. If Betim recommended higher octane, I'd listen to him because he definitely has more experience with your car than I do, but it sounds to me like pinging which is when the fuel ignites in the cylinder before the spark plug fires. This is almost always a cause of running lower octane fuel so switching back to 108 oct should do the trick for you.
