And wasn't his last F1 victory ( prior to Brawn ) at Silverstone?
I thought the same but I just wiki'd it. His last win was Hungary, highest finish in GBR was 4th.

Hi,

I was gas baggin' with a couple of my mates RE: the Red Bull conceding debate. I'm still not convinced. It could even be a very public mind game, trying to throw Brawn off course? I can't see people getting to this level of any sport and not being completely committed to winning.

Button would love to have the win, but as mentioned, GBR hasn't always been kind to him.

Cheers,
Nik

Thought about the mind games as well. I can't understand how one of the closest rivals to Brawn's current dominance could throw in the towel. But is there sandbagging in F1??? Do you slow down so the car ahead of you gets into a comfortable pace and then hit the juice? I don't think Brawn will slow down from their current pace, no matter how many teams say they have stopped going for the W.

ctracer is an unknown quantity at this point
I'm in London now for the summer and have 2 friends and I that want to go to the race on Sunday. The official site stopped selling them at noon today so I don't know where to find them other than ebay. Anyone have any hookups, know where I can find some or have any friends trying to get rid of some tickets? TIA

I'm not sure if I'll be here for either of the banter threads. It's Father's Day on Sunday and I'm hoping to go to a car show with him in the afternoon. If I can find a live stream in the AM, I'll be here, but I can't make any promises.

I'm planning on watching P2 this morning. I should be able to catch Q as well. Anyone else going to be here?

I won't be around for either practice session. I've gotta leave for work right when P2 starts and I doubt I'll wake up in time for P1.

I should be up for qualifying but I won't be able to watch the race on FOX. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I'll be able to find a live online feed.

I will join you 30 minutes prior to race time to see if we can get a live stream. I will wait until the 5 minute warning. If no stream by then, I am bailing.

I won't be here for the live FOX thread. I have to go to church.

This race will be overshadowed by the recent news about the breakaway series. It's too bad. This has been a great season. But now anyone will remember 2009 for is the roe between Bernie/Max and Monte/Dennis.

It is hard to be too excited about the race with the dark clouds lowering.
