F1 - The Official Team Speed F1 Fantasy League Discussion Thread
#132
Here's what the Fantasy League home pages says this morning:
"Thursday 2nd April 13:25am - Lewis Hamilton's disqualification & Trulli's reinstatement to 3rd will NOT be updated in respect of this competition. Please see the 'Help & Information / Other Rules' page."
My question: Why not? Is it so hard for them to update once a ruling is made? They should simply amend the rule to state this: "Any decisions reached by the FIA following the race in question yet made before 17:00 GMT Friday before the next race will be factored into the league points."
This rewards participants who picked the driver that the decision ultimately favors within a window of time prior to driver picks being set for the next race. Fairness.
Their "no update rule post race day" is too ridgid especially where participants can still make trades. My two cents.

Wouldn't a rule like this solve address the late appeals issue while still awarding current participants and trades? The decision would need to be made by the next driver lock time. it would help, not sure where the quote is from. but there could be some computer programing issue we do not know about, or maybe they aren't putting that much effort into a free service

[quote=TommyBahama;281466]Thats what I was thinking, maybe they just don't have the people or the time to go through with all of the changes every week after the race. Or even the system is automated???

I don't think so. He just lost his 6 points in Australia. Actually, adding Hamilton for a wet race might be a pretty dang good idea....
