Bourdais to Penske?

Penske Performance president Tim Cindric has told the St Petersburg Times that the Indycar team has yet to make a decision about the future of Helio Castroneves. The Brazilian could get a prison time if convicted of charges of tax evasion, and his scheduled March trial would leave the Indy Racing League team little time to find a suitable team mate for Ryan Briscoe.

One possibility is rumoured to be Sebastien Bourdais, who won a record four straight Champ Car titles before joining the Toro Rosso F1 team. Bourdais's return to F1 is not yet decided and he could opt to return to North America.

Interesting news. I like Bourdais, but there are times when I watch him race and wonder if he's really cut out for the competition in F1. Maybe Indy would be a better fit for him?

I'd love to watch him and his Sarah Palin glasses prove me wrong...

he showed good pace at times but had the misfortune of being the teammate of vettel who performed much better, more consistently, and was less prone to mistakes. that being said, i think sebastien deserves another shot at F1. he is still raw (reminds me of sato at times) but he has potential.

He'd be great back in IRL/Champ, but he's doing good where's at now.

Maybe in a season or two would be a good decision.
