it`s just a matter of personal preferences,..
the M3 is less of a GT than the RS5,..much more sports trimmed

concerning the interior...without BMW individual options,Audi interiors are mostly better than BMWs
add BMW individual and things change drastically
Personally I dislike the MMI on Audis and prefer Idrive,..but I guess I`m biased since I grew up with BMWs

btw,..why don`t you add some $$ and get the F10 M5
(or even the M6 = best GT in its class!)?
It offers everything one can ask for,..and then some!

 

wow the M6 that I drove was easily one of the most boring/uninspired GT cars I've ever driven.

I liked my cabrio... It was not a sports car but neither is a RS5. Great cruiser though.

 

My problem with Audi is they make/ let their cars within each model ( 3,4,6 etc ) look the bloody same. You can buy a bottom of the range A4 and make it look identical to an S4. That annoys me.

 

Actually I am going to agree with you. A primary reason why I did not replace my E46 M3 cab with a new one is there was very little visual differences. I can see that from Audi as well.
