Pretty cool!

Someone made the argument in something i was reading yesterday that diesel's more expensive, so in the end, you are paying the same at the pump as if you were driving its gas counterpart.

He was talking about Diesel Ford excursion vs V10 Triton

I could see that, but the convenience alone of filling up once, maybe twice, a month is pretty nice. Not too mention some really good torque down low for passing slow-movers...

bro, we're not talking about trucks we're talking eco boxes here

diesel is the way to go imo, my brother just got a 2012 Jetta TDi and it does not disappoint in fuel economy.

The Prius is the most environmentally unfriendly car ever, so I should like it, but I don't because everyone touts the lie that it is the greenest car ever

Diesel > hybrid

I can't understand why we don't have more clean diesels here. We were talking about trying to import a TDI Range Rover the other day. The gasoline engines are flat out awful for mileage.

That's not correct by any stretch. The V10 gets awful mileage even compared to the 6.0 diesel which faired far worse than the 7.3, but was still miles ahead of the V10. That'd never work out.

This is the main reason I got the new Jetta Tdi avg over 600 miles to a 14 gallon tank. You just can't beat it an the dsg is great.

Congrats! I like the A3 tdi, great city car.

Getting close to 50mpg is a treat too.
