audi says its because it costs so much to certify them for sale in the US.. I dont buy that. Its not like audi is a little company. Certify the damn thing and then youll see how many people will buy them. (especially the avant) When I had my S4 avant I got stopped all the time by people who loved it and wanted to know what it was.

I think audi is really missing the boat here with not bringing the S4, RS4 and RS6 avant to the US.

 

I'll pass a link to this thread along to my buddy... I honestly would buy an RS4 without a moment's hesitation. In fact, my wife said SHE would want it as her uber-babymobile.

How about just a reguala a6 avant ? I am currently looking for a winter car and I just dont like any SUV I have looked at. Would be happy to just take a regular a6 avant or 535xi wagon if you could get them. Certainly would prefer an s6 or rs4 avant but the fact that audi and bmw are not bringing any mid size wagons here stinks...

 

For some reason wagons are just so much better than sedans. I was never a big fan of the M5 or BMWs in general until the time I saw an M5 Touring. What a fantastic looking car!

 

As mentioned I am looking for a winter wagon. I have not driven most of the wagons so what would you guys recommend I get between the following: used a6 avant 2010, new a4 avant, or used 2006 - 2008 s4 avant ? Other option is a very low mile 2010 bmw 535 xi wagon w/ m sport package

 

Based on purely looks, I'd say the new A4 Avant, but for the overall package, the 2006-2007 S4 Avant.

 

So I sent my friend at Audi of America an email explaining our predicament and a link to this thread...

I mentioned it before, but I would have bought the last-gen RS6 Avant no question. An RS4 Avant would be even better.
