Question: Audi R8 V10 or RS5

I need a car that I can drive every day, rear seats are not necessary. The RS5 has a Dual-Clutch transmission, which is probably better than the R-Tronic in the R8 V10?

Also, does anybody know when the R8 is meant to be replaced?

Many thanks for your input

The RS5 hands down. The R-tronic is just another name for Lambo's E-gear. It's jerky and not pleasant for daily driving IMO.

The R8 is due to be replaced in the next year or two tops. The GT is coming out and that is already a sign that it's on it's last run.

I've driven both but we're debating two very different cars/prices here.

The R8 V10 is awesome, a daily driveable supercar but I did find the R-Tronic box let it down a bit (the R-Tronic in my 6 is smoother in auto/D). You have to manipulate the changes with your right foot in the R8 to make it a smooth drive in auto, it wants to rev higher to change.

The RS5 has the S-Tronic which is great, lovely car to drive with a free revving V8 but.... it's not an R8

Your RS6 has an automatic transmission. It's surely smoother than the R-tronic or even S-tronic.

I would say, get the RS5 for sure. Much better and attracts less attention.

+1. But you can only get a manual in the R8 V10, so...

Easy answer. R8 all the way.

Since rear seating doesn't matter I would have to say R8 all the way. Not even a question
