2010 Audi S4

Another thing I forgot to mention as I took the S4 out one last time before it goes, is look at the speedo. Look where 60 mph is. Looks like you are going 30 mph. That's trouble for someone who isn't use to it.

My friend also had a modded B6 S4 (now totalled) dislikes the new B8 S4.

I guess it depends what you are looking for...I have to imagine the B8 is a bit sharper and lighter on its feet than the particularly heavy B6. In either case, although I love Audi's and the balance they provide as great DD's, the driving dynamics are better over at BMW.

I have driven the B5, B6, B7, and B8 S4....
Without a doubt the most fun and 'quickest' feeling is B5. The B5 eventually became a Stage 2 B5, and the thing was beastly.
Everything depends on what the purpose of the car is for. If it's something extra, just to zip around town in, I'd take a B5 over the B8. As far as styling goes, I'd take a B6 over all of them [followed by the b7]. As far as luxury goes, I'd take the B8.

As a B6 S4 owner, I have to say that I'm extremely intrigued by the B8 S4. In fact, I love it. Had AOA decided that it was in the best interest of the enthusiast to actually bring over a B8 S4 Avant, I'd be sitting in that right now, instead of my B6 S4 Avant (or searching for an upgrade with the B7).
Thanks for the info, Jon, glad to see your reviews about the car.

I like this guy.
That's what I'm saying. The B8 is such linear power. It's not rough and tough like my V8, but I kinda like that.
My time behind the wheel of the B8 S4 showed me how far the S4's have come (from B5 to now). A true, positive progression. When I first opened her up on the freeway, I couldn't believe the speed I was at when I finally looked down. It didn't feel that fast, but boy was it.
