The A5 will certainly turn more heads but I would avoid any Audi with the 3.2 V6 engine. It's old-tech, thirsty, lazy and has been discontinued in a few markets already.

I loved the sound of the V8 in my S5, it is intoxicating.

I still think that the thinking man's A5 is the 2.0T quattro. Not sure why you can't get the S-Tronic (DSG) transmission in the US market, but IMO that's the best combo. If you're a manual-only kinda guy then this isn't an issue. How about this one?

The B7 shape is looking a bit tired now too.

I'm leaning hard to the b7 S4 after driving the A5, the S5 and the new S4 today. I was less than impressed with the DSG and the V6 supercharged.

Something about that V8 and four doors gets me. Plus...the back seat is good for more women in the car

If the A5 then get a 2.0, it has more torque than the 3.2 and is much lighter in the front.

Funny I get more looks in the A5, especially from women then in the P-car.

The B6/B7 S4 isn't all that to be honest. It's a decent cruiser but about as sporty as a minivan with a V8. Does it have the same old 344 hp? (The DTM is a US market car). The A5 is a MUCH better and modern car in evvvvvery single way apart from the growl.

i Highly recommend getting the S4 over the A5. The S4 is just an all around great car. Its still new so you shouldnt have much to worry about as far as reliability and such.

And now with the Superchargers becoming more readily available, it becomes a much more obvious choice (At least for me - although i did pick up an A5 cab for my little sister a few weeks ago but thats irrelevant haha

I would say A5 just a nicer car overall....
