Competition for the X5M/X6M/Cayenne?



Usually all the Audi models have a S and a RS version and how the Q5 turned out to be a very successful SUV the company decided to offer more option for their customers.

The first to arrive on the market is the SQ5, a model inspired by the Q5 Custom Concept. It will arrive in 2011 and will be powered by a supercharged V6 engine with compressor delivering 333 hp. The distinguish between a standard Q5 and the SQ5 will be made by new front and rear spoiler and a rear diffuser, quad exhaust and a chrome "S" grille.

The next step will be the RSQ5, a model powered by a 3.0 TFSI V6 engine that will deliver 408 hp and 500 Nm of torque.

I wonder if this'll actually make it to showrooms...

 

Terrible naming IMO. Should be Q5 "S" or Q5 "RS" just like the BMW nomenclature system.

 

I wonder if it will even make it to the U.S....

 

Looks stupid. I'm not a fan of the Q5

 

Would be cool if they could squeeze the RS5's V8 in there!

They should be able to, given that the Q5 is a member of Audi's B8 family like the A4 and A5.
