With S5 quad tailpipes and rear bumper, S5 non-blistered fenders, and no RS5 rear spoiler? This looks to me like an RS5 test mule with S5 stock body and RS5 chin spoiler added up front. Also the IN S 5046 license plate number is seen on fleet/press cars consistent with an S5. Audi is rumored to be making a 4.0LTT for their next-generation A8, and maybe they could use that engine in the RS5, but I'm even skeptical of that. Don't get me wrong, if the RS5 came out with a 4.2LV8TT, I would buy one and quickly tune it, but if it makes only 450HP, it won't have (or need) turbo's....
I agree with all these points...are we sure it's an RS5? It looks like an S5 with an "RS5" grille. It isn't even a 2010 S5, it lacks LED taillights...unlike the other RS5 mules seen. And come on, not even an engine shot? I thought it was just going to have a tuned up version of the NA 4.2...I would love a V8TT but there is no photo evidence provided by the article.

I am still worried. Look at the production TT-RS. Not very "RS" IMO. Look back at the RS2, RS4, RS6 - all had flared fenders, aggressive vents, specific wheels, etc. We can pray that the car shown is a powertrain mule or something.

That red "RS5" isn´t the final version, from behind there´s actually no difference from the S, oh and those damn rims only look good on the RS6.

Whatever finally happens, my wish to Audi is that anyone can hear, see and feel when the RS5 is on the road. Feel the agressiveness!
Patience, Genf could give us a surprise!

Guys-this report is very mis-leading because that is NOT the final version of this car. It will in fact be wide bodied with a retractable deck lid spoiler, and will look a lot more aggressive.

ALSO: Audi has not yet said that this car is not coming over here. We know they recently cancelled the RS4 model, but I believe this car is coming over here

Why are you all getting bent out of shape because of what a test mule looks like? Audi always disguise their RS cars into something else this early in.

When the RS4 B7 was tested, they went as far as kitting out a B7 S4 with ABT wheels and Kempten plates (ABT Headquarters) to fool everyone into thinking it was a tricked out S4.

Needs wider wheels arches than shown in the red example. Hopefully that's just and S5 test body except for the front bumper.
