Revealed: Audi's 450 HP RS5 Steps Out Of The Shadow With A Twin Turbo V8

I saw that car at a meet in San Diego one night. It was on BBS RS-GTs and it was that greenish-gray color. I didn't know it was PW's until someone told me. So so awesome...

FWIW, the sedan is the one to have. In Daytona Grey, or whatever it is they call their dark grey/ gunmetal color.

I bet. Sitting pretty low, right?

This AutoExpress article makes no sense at all to me. A 4.2LV8TT with 450HP? Only 30HP more than the stock NA 4.2LV8 on my RS4 (420HP)? And an "undisguised" RS5? With S5 quad tailpipes and rear bumper, S5 non-blistered fenders, and no RS5 rear spoiler? This looks to me like an RS5 test mule with S5 stock body and RS5 chin spoiler added up front. Also the IN S 5046 license plate number is seen on fleet/press cars consistent with an S5. Audi is rumored to be making a 4.0LTT for their next-generation A8, and maybe they could use that engine in the RS5, but I'm even skeptical of that. Don't get me wrong, if the RS5 came out with a 4.2LV8TT, I would buy one and quickly tune it, but if it makes only 450HP, it won't have (or need) turbo's....

They tried to fool the average, everyday citizen. I'm sure they'll widebody and make it look super aggressive. This just doesn't fit into the RS design language, and if they did let it pass I'd be thoroughly disappointed in Audi....
And what the heck..... No V10....... It'd be so beast....
EDIT:
I once saw a 2003 RS6 sitting outside my house (when I was still a car n00b) and wondered if it was just some bodykitted A6. I was like: "Ugly wheels, no quad exhaust, must be a poseur..."
Oh boy... Was I wrong. When the engine started and the car took off... Such a nice sound.
